Armed robbery at a shopping centre in Bryanston

BRYANSTON – It has been alleged that the victim fired shots at the suspects' getaway vehicle.


Local police responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a shopping centre in Bryanston on 12 January. 

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said in a statement, “It is alleged that four armed suspects accosted the victim and robbed him his wristwatch, wallet and cell phone. Suspects jumped into an Opel Corsa new shape and drove off at high speed. The victim allegedly fired shots at the getaway car.”

The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects as they still at large and have appealed to the members of the public who may have information that can help in the investigation or assist apprehended the suspects to call the nearest police station or crime stop on 08600 10111.
