WATCH: Zozibini Tunzi crowned Miss Universe 2019
SANDTON – Zozibini Tunzi who was crowned Miss SA a few months ago is now Miss Universe 2019.
This morning, 9 December, South Africa woke up to the great news that Miss South Africa 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, was crowned Miss Universe 2019.
The crowning for the 68th Miss Universe took place at the recently launched Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on 8 December. The three-hour show was hosted by award-winning comedian, Steve Harvey alongside actress and former beauty queen Vanessa Lachey, and saw performances by Fifth Harmony member, Ally Brooke.

Tunzi is the third South African to win the Miss Universe crown. The first was Margaret Gardiner in 1978, followed by Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in 2017.
