Taxi rollover leaves eight people injured

SANDTON – The taxi was found lying on its roof in the left-hand lane, leaving two patients seriously injured.


At least eight people were left injured this morning (4 November) after a minibus taxi they were travelling in rolled on the Grayston onramp on the M1 Highway in Sandton.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said their paramedics arrived on the scene at 7.42am, “To find the taxi lying on its roof in the left-hand lane. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found on the side of the road.”

Medics found that two out of the eight patients were seriously injured, they were treated for their injuries before they were transported to nearby injuries.

Local authorities were on the scene to conduct further investigations.
