Suspect nabbed for housebreaking in Wendywood

WENDYWOOD – The suspect appeared in the Randburg Magistrates' Court on charges of housebreaking.


The Sandton Police Station have arrested a 33-year-old suspect for housebreaking in Wendywood.

According to Captain Granville Meyer, the spokesperson for the Sandton, the arrest forms part of the police’s efforts to reduce contact crimes in the Sandton policing precinct.

Meyer said that the man from Alexandra was arrested at a house in Wendywood after the homeowner heard noises in her yard and alerted the local security company and police on 19 July. The police members on patrol responded swiftly and found the suspect in the garage.

The suspect appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on 22 July.
