Suits & sneakers presents: Foresight book launch with John Sanel

John Sanei has always been a fan favourite in the region and we are so excited to launch his new book called FOREsight. Join us as John discusses his new book FOREsight and explains the types of sight needed to connect the invisible dots that lead us into our abundant tomorrow.

7 – 11 July: Jellie the Ellie at Auto & General Theatre on the Square

Come and join us and find out how Jellie is able to see the positive side to every situation, and how all the characters learn some very important life lessons. This show explores the themes of oral hygiene, conquering your fears, forgiveness and friendships.

Jellie the Ellie comes to visit Zoemba’s world, where he lives with his two friends Jippie and Doolie. At the same time, an unexpected ‘traveller’ also arrives. Travis Tooth-mouse has been travelling far and wide collecting milk teeth for his ‘boss’, the Tooth Fairy Queen.

13 July Field Market – July Edition

Our July market will be a French affair; wine, baguettes, cheese, croissants, macaroons, crêpes and more.

An all-acoustic French gypsy jazz band will set the mood while you stroll through the stalls to explore the wide variety of goods such as clothing, jewellery, accessories, books, kids toys and decor as if it was the streets of Paris. Then settle down for a picnic along the river and enjoy good food and drink like a true Parisian. You might even want to get a caricature done or join in a lawn-game.

Prizes will be awarded to the best dress-up on the day.

16 July: Nik Rabinowitz – Work in progress

Yad Aharon and Michael’s YPD presents Nik Rabinowitz’s – Work in progress – his beyond hilarious new comedy show.

When it comes to side-splitting stories about hair transplants, ill-conceived mountain rescues, and the pitfalls of genetic testing, Nik has it all figured out, written down, and ready for delivery. The show itself is finished. A work complete. It’s Nik who’s still trying to figure out who he is, where he came from, and where he’s going.

20 July – A Re Sebetseng – Let’s clean up River Club

Ward 103 / River Club has joined Major Mashaba’s A Re Sebetseng initiative to clean Johannesburg. We will gather once a month on the 3rd Saturday, in a space in our neighbourhood that needs some TLC.

When: 8.30am – 10am
