Collision leaves woman in a critical condition

SANDHURST – A woman was found in a critical condition following a collision on the corner of Alice and Sandhurst in Sandhurst Ext 3, Sandton.


In the early hours of yesterday morning, 26 June, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision at 8.43am where a woman was reported to have been involved in an accident.

Shawn Herbst from the communications office of Netcare 911 said in a released statement that reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a light motor vehicle were involved in a collision.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that the driver of the car, an adult femal,e was already being treated by an ambulance crew,” said Herbst.

Herbst added that the patient required advanced life support intervention in order to be stabilised. The paramedics were able to stabilise her and she was then transported by an ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
