Incident takes place In Wierda Valley, Sandton

WEIRDA VALLEY – Man airlifted to hospital after a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

 


A man was airlifted from Wierda Valley in Sandton after an incident on 17 May.

Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer at Netcare 911, said,” A 41-year-old male sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The reason behind the shooting is still unknown.”

According to Herbst, the police were on the scene.

Netcare 911, assisted by Emer-G-Med, worked to stablise the patient, who was then airlifted to hospital.

 

Bramey police spokesperson Captain Molefe Mogadi said that his team was called on the day of the incident. “I am still unaware of specifics on this case. We are still investigating the matter further.”
