Voting stations are filling up in Sandton #IMadeMyMark
PARKMORE – Presiding officer says it has been a smooth morning so far.
South Africans have heeded the call to participate in 2019 elections. Reports from multiple voting stations suggest that early morning voting is what hundreds of community members have chosen.
Sandton Chronicle journalist Laura Pisanello is reporting from the George Lea Park IEC voting station.
Kgabo Mashalane said that she will be voting today because it’s her opportunity to have her say in the how South Africa is run. She added that if many young people are feeling disillusioned with the country, then this is their opportunity to vote for change.

Presiding officer at the George Lea Park, Douglas Ramela says that the morning has been off to a smooth start. There are about a hundred residents lined up so far and Ramela says he expects it to be a busy day #SAelections2019 @Sandton_News
