Bryanston High learners share sporting achievements #SchoolSports

BRYANSTON – Bryanston High School learners competed in various sporting disciplines over the past week, impressing their school with their results.

Bryanston High School learners have celebrated their sporting successes over the past week.

Two learners competed in the Gauteng Biathle Championships and will go on to compete in the South African Championships in June. Lauren Singery and Megan Hunt who competed in the U17 girls’ age group. Lauren finished third and Megan finished in fifth place overall during the biathle. Biathle, or modern biathlon, is a sub-sport of pentathlon but only includes swimming and running. Megan finished first in the girls U17 age group.

During the annual St Stithians Sports Festival the Bryanston High team achieved positions within the top three in cross country in all their ages groups. The junior boy’s team placed first with the senior boys’ team taking silver for second place. The junior girl’s team was awarded bronze for finishing third.
