Explorers Friendship and Chat Group to host monthly meeting about gardening
BRYANSTON – This month's talk will focus on growing seeds and how to cook with fresh produce.
The Explorers Friendship and Chat Group will host its monthly meeting with the Beaulieu Garden Club to teach members about gardening.
This month’s meeting will take place on 26 April at 10am. The group was started to give older people the opportunity to build friendships and host a variety of speakers to engage them.
Johan du Preez, who is also a qualified chef, will share his knowledge about gardening with the club members. “By speaking and demonstrating to groups at nurseries and shows, he [Du Preez] combines his two passions, planting and food. He is a most entertaining speaker and will talk about how to plant seeds then enjoy cooking with the freshest produce. Johan will come bearing gifts too,” said Shelley Addis, the founder of the group.
