Two house robbery suspects arrested by Sandton Trio Task Team

SANDTON – The Sandton Trio Task Team recently arrested two suspects and recovered stolen items.

The Sandton police recently arrested two suspects for house robbery.

According to Captain Granville Meyer, spokesperson for the Sandton police, thorough investigation and follow-up information by the Sandton Trio Task Team, led to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of stolen items in River Park.

“The suspects accosted the victims at gunpoint in their home and robbed them of their belongings valued at R125 000,” said Meyer.

He said, during the investigation, it was found that a former domestic worker was involved in the robbery. “The duo is expected to appear in court soon to face the alleged charges of house robbery.”

The acting station commander, Colonel Mathela Mohlanga has applauded the arrests by the Trio Task Team adding that the recovery of the stolen items demonstrated the police’s commitment to reducing house robberies in the Sandton policing precinct.
