Montrose Grade 6 to captain Gauteng side

SANDTON – Hannah Nomis McKerr has been selected to captain the Gauteng provincial side.

A Grade 6 at Montrose Primary School in Parkmore was recently selected to captain the Gauteng U12A indoor netball team.

Hannah Nomis McKerr will captain the side for the upcoming Inter-Provincial Tournament that will be hosted from 30 March to 2 April at the Edenvale Action Sports Arena.

The tournament promises to be non-stop action with the country’s best players from the Action Netball Super League gathering for the four-day tournament.

“I love netball because of the speed and excitement of the game, plus it’s a great way to make friends,” explained Hannah.

“We have been training three times a week to be ready for the tournament and we can’t wait for it to begin. Anyone who loves action sports and netball please come support us we would love to see you there.”

Hannah’s favoured position is goal attack but, demonstrating her versatility, she is also progressing well in the Gauteng Schools trials for outdoor netball in a defensive position.
