New student leaders for 2018 at St Stithians College

SANDTON – St Stithians College announces their student leaders for 2018

St Stithians College is proud to announce their student leaders for 2018 at both the Boys’ College and Girls’ College.

An excited Rutendo Samakande was elected as the head girl, with Chantelle Guise-Brown as her deputy, and Tafara M’Kombe was chosen as the head boy with Jason Brown as his deputy.

The student leaders are elected following a democratic process in each school where the entire student body and staff have the opportunity to vote for the candidate that they feel will best fit this important leadership role.

Communications manager at St Stithians College Lethabo-Thabo Royds said, “St Stithians College is proud of the student leaders for 2018. We have faith in these young leaders, and we believe that they will do everything in their power to be a good example to their peers and Saints students in their younger years.”

St Stithians Boys’ College has elected Jason Brown as the deputy head boy and Tafara M’Kombe as the head boy for 2018.

Royds added that the student leader’s democratic election is a testimony to their leadership skills and the faith that the school community has in their ability to lead.

“Our young leaders will need to juggle some responsibilities as well as their Matric workload. We do not doubt that they will wear the Saints badge with pride and will live out our strategic intent to inspire excellence and make a world of difference.”
