Proud Saints boys get selected to represent the Golden Lions

SANDTON – St Stithians Boys' College have eight Golden Lions representatives and two cross-country stars.

 

St Stithians Boys’ College had eight rugby players selected to represent the Golden Lions in their U16 to U19 teams. In addition to the Golden Lions selection, Saints had two cross-country boys run a 5km parkrun. Thomas Lee and Liam Keegan placed 1st and 2nd respectively out of 922 participants.

Thomas Lee and Liam Keegan of St Stithians Boys’ College placed 1st and 2nd respectively in a 5km parkrun.

Thomas won the run in 00:18:20, beating Comrades athletes over this distance. Two hours later he scored a goal for the first hockey side, a great way to show his grit and determination in both sports.

The players selected to represent the Golden Lions are:

  • Asenathi Nthlabankaye was selected for the Craven week team
  • Tawanda Mutuma was selected for the U18 Academy team
  • Nicholas Brimacombe was selected for the U19 Welpies team
  • JP Bloem was selected for the U19 Welpies team
  • Munasche Chaitezwiwas was selected for the Grant Khomo U16A team
  • Demos Mbauya was selected for theGrant Khomo U16A team
  • Takudzwa Matipano was selected for the U16 Academy team
  • Luhan van Aswegen was selected for the U16 Welpies team.
