Top Sandton gymnast Keaton Levin attends gymnastic training camp

SANDTON – Grade 8 gymnast, Keaton Levin, recently attended a gymnastics training camp.

 

Keaton Levin, a gymnast who is in Grade 8 at Crawford College attended a gymnastic training camp during the Easter holidays.

The training camp was organised by the South African Gymnastics Federation with Yasundri Tachibana, the head coach of the Japanese Gymnastics Olympic Training Centre.

Tachibana is one of the leading gymnast coaches and the training camp was attended by most of the current South African junior and senior Protea team members.

Levin is one of the top gymnasts in Gauteng and has been awarded Central Gauteng colours for men’s artistic gymnastics since the age of eight.

Last year, Levin competed in the high-level Class 3 section at the National Championships where he became the national champion on floor, vault and parallel bars, and was placed second overall.

His favourite apparatus is the parallel bars and his motto is, ‘Know your passion’.
