CEO SleepOut star

JOBURG – Brett Levy, joint CEO of Blue Label Telecoms, has been announced as the top fundraiser at this year's CEO SleepOut.

The CEO SleepOut has sent out a big thank you to Brett Levy, joint CEO of Blue Label Telecoms for raising the highest amount of money for the 2016 CEO SleepOut.

Levy raised R633 660.

The CEO SleepOut is a fund and empathy raising project which saw 168 business leaders spend a night on the streets near Nelson Mandela Bridge to raise funds for the homeless.

A grand total of R20 198 982 was raised, with R9 million being equally awarded to the three beneficiaries. The beneficiaries were Asha Trust, which specialises in early-childhood development in home-based creches located in disadvantaged communities; Columbia Leadership, which helps young adults from disadvantaged communities through leadership programmes; and The Steve Biko Foundation which empowers individuals in various communities.

The second and third highest fundraisers were Paul Dunne, CEO of Northam Platinum, and Gavin Varejes, executive chairman of Richmark Holdings, respectively.
