Playing for Pink Ladies at Inanda Club

SANDTON – Get your tickets for Cell C Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo event to take place on 2 October.

The Cell C Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo event will take place for the second year at Inanda Club in Sandton on 2 October.

This event, presented by Edith Unlimited in partnership with the network provider Cell C, will focus on raising funds to support breast cancer survivors. Those funds will be donated to Reach for Recovery’s Ditto Project, which helps women from low-income families who have suffered from breast cancer and wish to undergo reconstructive surgery to get breast prosthesis.

This year’s theme is Pink Circus and guests at the event will be able to watch female-only polo matches, watch entertainment acts, drink cocktails and shop in pop-up stores.

Event organiser, Edith Venter, said, “With one in every 26 South African women across all race groups likely to get breast cancer in their lifetime, and not everyone being able to afford reconstructive surgery after undergoing a mastectomy, we identified the need to commit ourselves to women empowerment.”

Stephne Jacobs, chairperson of the board of management at Reach for Recovery said, “Breast cancer is a very serious illness, and at Reach for Recovery, we are fortunate to have the continuous support and generous contributions of Edith Unlimited, as well as Cell C, in aid of our organisation.

“At Reach for Recovery, our main objective is to be there for the many women affected by breast cancer as they start their journey of recovery and rediscovery.”

Tickets are available and may be purchased at TicketPro. General access tickets begin at R650 per ticket. Corporations may order their VIP tickets by contacting Edith Unlimited at www.edithunlimited.co.za or at 011 783 5887.
