MONTROSE - Montrose Primary School is calling on applicants to take part in its teaching internship.

Montrose Primary School is inviting university students who are interested in going into education at primary school level, to take part in its internship programme held next year.

The internship is open to any student looking to broaden his or her teaching methods or who is interested in learning the methodology of teaching various subjects.

Please note in order to qualify, the applicant must be registered with a university and must be studying towards a teaching degree or studying education or sports science.

Principal of Montrose Primary School, Sylvia Buschberger, said the programme will give every student going into education the professional and practical environment of teaching. She said she believes more programmes like this one will benefit the educational landscape of South Africa and will strengthen the whole system.
