The young rapper is a four-time South African Hip-Hop Awards winner, winning the best female award for two consecutive years, last year (=2015, so it can’t be consecutive) and in 2013, as well as winning best mixtape and best newcomer in 2013.

The 20-year-old is one of the leading female rappers in the hip-hop genre having performed at events such as Maftown Heights and Back to the City.

On her achievements, Manney said that she hopes it will help in inspiring other young South Africans as well as young upcoming musicians to take both their craft and education seriously.

“With all the things that are currently happening around us, I couldn’t be any more thankful for the way 2016 has begun. A young black girl can call herself educated and a victor of circumstances,” Manney stated.

The multi-talented artist also became the first female rapper to debut a visual advert on the biggest music channel in the country, Channel O.

Manney is also set to release her first album entitled Ground Zero at the end of the year.
