Montrose makes it a happy Easter for underprivileged children

PARKMORE – The pupils of Montrose Primary School in Parkmore gave back by donating more than 11 000 Easter eggs to be distributed to children in underprivileged communities.

The pupils began their collection at the beginning of March led by their Mini Councillors.

Spokesperson for the school, Jono Leaf-Wright said, “The message that we’re trying to send to our pupils through this donation is that there are a lot of children who are not given the quality of life many of our pupils have.

“This is reaffirming the school’s value of kindness.”

The Easter eggs were taken to the Johannesburg Mini Council whose members will distribute the donation to various schools in Johannesburg.
