Finally, service delivery from JRA in Sandhurst

SANDHURST – The Johannesburg Roads Agency promised to commence repair work on Grosfarm, Louis and Ramajador roads in Sandhurst and they have finally fulfilled their promise.

Bertha Peters-Scheepers, spokesperson for the roads agency, had said the agency’s regional depot would patch and repair the roads as required, remove silt and ensure the roads were safe and accessible for the community as from 22 February.

Resident Toni Lutz confirmed that on 2 March the roads agency was on-site working on the roads in question. “I have spent the better part of six months trying to get the roads agency to pay some attention to our roads,” added Lutz.

Peters-Scheepers apologised for the poor communication from the roads agency and encouraged residents to escalate queries to them so that they could hold their employees accountable.

She added that residents must note that the resurfacing of roads was done on an annual capital programme basis and the roads would be noted for attention as soon as possible.
