A half-job on water leak in Morningside

MORNINGSIDE - A never-ending water leak nightmare in Morningside has only been partially fixed by Joburg Water.

 

This according to resident, Amanda Murray, who has been reporting the leakage to Joburg Water since April last year.

“The leak has been partially fixed. It is reduced but not gone altogether,” Murray explained.

This information comes after Fransie Small, acting customer care manager of Joburg Water, said she escalated the case to both the regional manager and the depot manager. Small advised that residents ought to contact the regional depot in their area when following up on a call logged.

To log calls for water and sewer problems, residents are encouraged to contact the call centre, send their query to the SMS line or e-mail customer service and also make sure that they keep their reference code to follow up if the query is not attended to.

Whether the leak will be completed fixed in the future is still to be seen.
