St David’s Marist Inanda proud of matric pupils

JOBURG - St David’s Marist Inanda is extremely proud of their matriculants of 2016 who achieved a 100 percent pass rate and a 97 percent university pass rate.

Spokesperson for the school Lara Klement said, “The top 21 boys achieved 117 distinctions collectively and 208 subject distinctions were achieved overall, with 65% of the candidates on the subject distinction listing.”

Klement said, “With young men from every walk of life matriculating from St David’s, our thanks go to the teachers who have taught, mentored and supported these boys through their journey at St David’s and our further thanks and congratulations to the families who have walked this path with their sons.”

The top achiever at the school was pupil Thomas Tumiel who, along with a 92 percent aggregate, obtained 8 distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Geography, Life Sciences, Physical Science, Life Orientation, Advanced Mathematics. Tumiel, who is the top matric student for 2015, followed in the footsteps of his brother Jared who achieved the same titled in 2014.

Matthew Alexander and Travis Hall both achieved eight distinctions with Alexander excelling in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Geography, Life Sciences, Physical Science, Life Orientation, Advanced Mathematics with an 89% aggregate. Hall achieved distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Geography, Life Sciences, Physical Science, Life Orientation, Advanced Mathematics with an 88% aggregate.
