The suspects were involved in crimes ranging from theft, fraud, possession of drugs to rape.
According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson of Sandton police, seven people were arrested for theft in recent weeks.
“The police also arrested 10 people for fraud, three for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and two for possession of drugs,” he said.
One person was arrested for rape while three more were arrested for a business burglary.
Maphakela confirmed that all the suspects were arrested and detained at Sandton Police Station where they were charged for the various offences.
The suspects have also since made appearances at court to face their charges. The cases continue.
