Get Fearless for breast cancer

JOHANNESBURG – Harley-Davidson Africa is calling on South Africans to join Jack Parow and Loki Rothman for the 2015 Fearless cause in order to raise awareness and funds in aid of breast cancer.

In 2014, Harley-Davidson® Africa launched Snors for a Cause and raised R100 000 in one day in support of testicular cancer – a record they’re hoping to beat with this year’s Fearless campaign.

Fearless gives the public two chances to participate. It starts with the Harley-Davidson Fearless Music Tour in September followed by

the Pink Glove Run in October where all motorcycle riders will ride together for a cause.

It will kick off in all major cities this month when Harley ambassadors Parow and Rothman take to the stage at selected Harley-Davidson dealerships in Cape Town on 16 September, Durban on 17 September and in Johannesburg on 24 September.

Tickets for these performances cost R175 from Webtickets

(ß IMBED www.webtickets.co.za).

These performances will be followed by the Pink Glove Run motorcycle parade on 31 October, where all motorcycle riders can band together to ride in regional parades to raise awareness for breast cancer.

In light of the Pink Glove Run, Harley-Davidson will produce one-of-a-kind pink gloves that will be on sale at their dealerships. All the funds raised by these campaigns will be donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).

“[Cansa] is extremely excited about the Harley-Davidson Fearless campaign which aligns with Cansa’s strategic approach to provide the most reliable health information and education in the fight against cancer,” said Cansa head of health, Prof. Michael Herbst.

South African legends can support Fearless by getting tickets to the gigs, attending the concerts, sharing information as widely as possible via their own social media channels, and buying pink gloves.
