Suspect arrested for business burglary in Rivonia

RIVONIA - Sandton police recently arrested a suspect for a burglary at a shop in Rivonia.

 

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Sandton police said, “Two suspects broke into the front door of the shop. We also found bags full of alcohol and the fire extinguisher had been sprayed all over the floor.”

Maphakela added that a security officer saw the break-in and informed the shop owner that his store was being burgled. On arrival, the shop owner and security guard went searching for the suspects and managed to catch one and called the police.

The other suspect is still at large.

The man was detained at the Sandton Police Station and will appear in court soon.
