Led by entertainer Darin McDowall, the Mr ADT shows are held at various schools in Johannesburg in an attempt to give children insight into the dangerous world around them through fun and entertaining games.
“Unfortunately, in South Africa there is no escape from conversations about crime,” said Theunis Kotze, managing director of ADT Inland Region.
“Children are never too young to be educated and made aware, in a non-threatening manner of the dangers that exist in our society. They need to be empowered to be able to protect themselves in a dangerous situation.”
The children were given insightful lessons about bullying, home robberies and stranger danger, among others, and were taught how to avoid these in a safe and responsible manner.
