Knit-a-thon club grows in numbers

HURLINGHAM - The knitting craze at the Rosebank Union Church in Sandton is growing.

This after another knitting session was held at the church on 30 May. Greta Collier, the organiser of the initiative at the church said, “It is already starting to grow nicely.”

She said those who attended the session enjoyed interacting with one another and knitting in the group.

She invites everyone to join her and the rest of the group of knitters to knit or crochet and create blankets or items of clothing, for either Rays of Hope, Carolyn Steyn’s 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela, Hotel Hope or any other charity.

The sessions take place every Saturday morning at the coffee shop inside the church building. The next knit-a-thon will be on 6 June from 10am to 1pm.
