A fabulous judge for radio awards

Resident, entrepreneur and publisher, Pontsho Manzi was a judge at the sixth annual MTN Radio Awards held at Sandton Convention Centre on 18 April.

Along with the rest of the judging panel, Manzi listened to 2 500 hours of radio submissions in order to complete the process of scoring the entries.

The MTN Radio Awards aim to present a credible well-judged transparent programme that promotes and recognises excellence in radio with the objective of ensuring that radio remains one of South Africa’s foremost media choices.

Manzi is an award-winning media entrepreneur and publisher at Bonisa Media, a media and publishing company which she established in 2008. She is the first black South African woman to author an inspirational diary for women called Diary for a Fabulous You and is also a proud philanthropist who uses print media as a platform to inspire, educate and uplift women in Africa.

Manzi is also a life coach and professional speaker.

“I was honoured to be part of the judging committee for these prestigious awards,” Manzi said. “As a philanthropist and women empowerment activist, it was a great opportunity to recognise excellence in the radio industry in support of relevant content to South African society.”
