ALERT: Water cuts affects some parts of Johannesburg northern suburbs

JOBURG NORTH – The water cut is expected to be restored on July 29.


Residents are advised of a water cut that will affect certain areas in the northern suburbs of Joburg on July 28.

The affected areas are Johannesburg North, parts of Maroeladal, Cedar Lakes, Cedar Creek, parts of Broadacres, Cedar Avenue West, Needwood, Chartwell, parts of Kya Sands, parts of North Riding, Bloubosrand and Farmall.

Johannesburg Water said that it cut off the water due to a tie-in on July 28. Water is expected to be restored on July 29 at around 10pm.

Water Tankers will be at the following points:

  • Tanks will be filled at Cedar Lakes
  • BP garage Broadacres Shopping Centre
  • Tanks to be filled at Broadacres Shopping Centre
  • Cedar Creek Estate
  • Terranova complex
  • Thorntree and Stonefields complex in Cedar Avenue West
  • Runnymead and 3rd Road, Chartwell
  • Watercombe Road and Zandspruit, Chartwell
  • Fifth Road and Cladon Street, Chartwell
  • Rietvallei and Zandspruit Roads, Farmall
  • Royal Canin (refill tanks)
  • Hyperion Road (Hampstead complex)
  • Waterford View Estate
  • Agulhas Road, Bloubosrand
  • Drommedaris Road, Bloubosrand
  • Riverbend Road, Bloubosrand
  • Oosterland Road, Bloubosrand
  • Government Street, Johannesburg North
  • Selborne Street, Johannesburg North
