Regions B and E record 650 Covid-19 recoveries

JOBURG – The City of Johannesburg has confirmed 2 188 recoveries.

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that Johannesburg’s northern suburbs of regions B and E have recorded a combined total of 650 Covid-19 recoveries as of 18 June.

According to a statement by the department Region B recorded 972 cases and 263 recoveries while Region E recorded 1 187 cases and 387 recoveries.

Suburbs in Region B include Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North. Suburbs in Region E include Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.

The City of Johannesburg has confirmed a total of 7 899 cases and 2 188 recoveries while 47 people have lost their lives to the novel virus.

A total of 331 cases and 84 recoveries remain unallocated in the City of Johannesburg district.
