Zolani Mahola holds a special concert to raise funds for Covid-19 Solidarity Fund
Zolani Mahola performed Sessions for South Africa in her living room which also raised funds for fellow artists.
Zolani Mahola, lead singer for world-renowned group Freshlyground, held a special concert on 11 April called Sessions for South Africa in collaboration with Good Things Guy to help raise funds during the Covid-19 outbreak.
As the world has been told to stay indoors, music artists across not only in South Africa but around the world have done their bit to fight the spread of Covid-19 and share their music to their fans digitally.
Many of these ‘living room concerts’ are not only to lift people’s spirits but to raise funds for multiple foundations. Mahola put on her concert to raise funds for fellow artists during this difficult time as well as for President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Solidarity Fund which tracks and combats the spread of the virus and help those whose’s lives have been disrupted by Covid-19.
People who watched the live session could donate by scanning the QR code provided by Mahola on her social media pages.
