Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) officers issued citations for illegal parking and unroadworthy vehicles in the inner-city and on the M1 south on 3 December.
JMPD chief David Tembe said officers issued citations for illegal parking at the corner of King George and Noord streets in the Joburg inner-city as the campaign was part of tackling lawlessness this festive season.
Citations were also issued to minibus taxi drivers for driving in the emergency lane along the M1 south between 11th Avenue and Glenhove Road.
Officers found that two minibuses vehicles were unroadworthy without licence discs and Tembe said they were impounded for further investigations.
