8 May: Into the Baroque: The Africa-Renaissance Ensemble in Concert

The delightful programme traces the development of vocal and instrumental music in Europe from the start of the 16th century through to the end of the Baroque period in 1750.

11 May: Zoo Lake Family Braai Picnic and Colour Festival

South Africa’s biggest braai and picnic travel event promoting family social activities and fun is coming to Joburg. Tickets include a braai stand with coal, music, water slides, jumping castles and access to the picnic area.

12 May: Joburg Half Day Cycle Tour

Join the guided tour of the vibrant City of Joburg every Sunday. The tour begins in Parktown and runs through places of interest including Mandela Bridge, Gandhi Square, Carlton Centre and Ellis Park to name a few. The tour covers 13km in total.

25 May: Tour of 1904 Northwards Mansion

Tour the house of prominent couple Colonel John Dale Lace and Josephine Dale Lace (Jose in short). Jose was a socialite of note in the early Joburg of Randlords – the mining magnates of the early gold rush. The three to four-hour tour takes guests through the 52-room home designed by Sit Herbert Baker.
