DON’T MISS: Experience powerful art behind formidable causes

ROSEBANK – Support your favoured cause by purchasing acclaimed works of art at the Rotary Arts Festival.

If you have an admiration for art and a passion for caring for others, then you need to be at the Rotary Arts Festival taking place at the illustrious Rosebank Mall from 1 June until 10 June.

There you will find an incredible array of artworks created by local renowned artists who will showcase their art throughout the mall. The festival has been held since 1993 where the Inanda Club held a small art exhibition for Rotary for a few years prior to moving the event to Hyde Park Corner where the event has been hosted for the past 19 years.

This year the event offers visitors a larger variety of masterful pieces complemented by the opulent atmosphere of Rosebank Mall.

Every year the attending artists agree to contribute a portion of their proceeds to the Rotary Club of Rosebank to fund its many community projects.

This year these proceeds will be donated to three wellfounded organisations: the Rotary Club of Rosebank Senior Youth Leadership Course which educates schoolchildren from around South Africa in leadership and networking; the College of Orientation and Mobility which aims at enhancing the mobility and independence of South Africans who have visual impairments, to access independence in their own homes, schools, workplaces and communities; and Footprints P.L.A.Y. (Participating in the Lives of Africa’s Youth) which houses children with a holistic vision where the children are raised within the structure of a family, rather than in an organisation that simply feeds, houses and clothes children.

The children at Footprints are taught the value of relationships, respect, education and morals.

The official media partners and sponsors bringing this incredible event together are Rotary Club of Rosebank, Rosebank Mall, Rosebank Killarney Gazette, OMD Media Agency and GTC.
