10 things you didn’t know about Lalla Hirayama
ILLOVO - Many know Lalla Hirayama as one of the new faces of the third season of reality TV show, SA’s Got Talent.
The Japanese-born South African dancer, actress, model and TV presenter has expressed her excitement to be part of what she said was one of her favourite TV shows.
Hirayama is no newbie to South Africa’s entertainment industry and, with her professional experience in hip-hop, tap and modern dance, she is expected to add some heat to the show.
City Buzz caught up with the lovely Hirayama for a candid Q&A session.
1. Your favourite spot for dinner?

2. If you were stuck on an island, what five items would you like to have with you?
Phone, lip balm, sun screen, cute bikini and a massive boat or a private jet (I’m not picky) to get back home.
3. Your biggest moment in your career?
I’ve had a few! Can’t choose one. Being a judge on South Africa’s Got Talent is definitely one of them. Interviewing big Hollywood stars; being the face of Legit; making it to the Strictly Come Dancing finals; hosting all the shows I’ve been part of for the past 11 years have all been big moments in my career. This industry is very difficult, I’ve learned to appreciate every minute.
4. If you were to have lunch with one other South African artist, who would it be?
Charlie Theron, actress… artist… same thing.
5. If you were a chocolate, which one would you be?
Milk chocolate Extra Creamy Lindt slab…. YUM.
6. Which celebrities do you believe have been the most influential on your journey? Be it a personal encounter or just their story that has inspired you.
I’ve never looked up to any celebrities.
7. If I gave you an elephant where would you hide it?
In the bush. It’s where they belong.
8. If you weren’t you, what else would you be? No limits, you can even be a unicorn if you want.
A unicorn sounds pretty good!
9. If you were given a chance, would you enter Big Brother?
And have people watch me pee? Not so much!
10. If I came to your house and looked in the refrigerator, what three things would I find on any given day?
Sparkling water, yoghurt and fruit.
