South Africa represented at Miss World, Miss world top ten

SOUTH AFRICA – Miss World finalist Adè van Heerden made it into the top 10 at the prestigious Miss World competition.

 

Adè van Heerden (26) from the Western Cape represented South Africa and competed against 123 other finalists in the competition which was won by Miss India Manushi Chhillar.

The top 10 finalists were from England, France, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, Russia and South Africa.

The 67th Miss World competition took place at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China (People’s Republic of China).

Van Heerden, a qualified doctor, is a second lieutenant in the South African Military Health Services. She won Protea colours in rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 13 and was a gold medal winner at the All African Championships.

Meanwhile, Miss South Africa 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will take part in the 66th Miss Universe pageant which takes place at The Axis in Las Vegas on 26 November.
