Agog Gallery teams up with Angelwing Entertainment to offer specially curated platform for creatives

JOBURG — This event hopes to provide essential showcase of Johannesburg's finest designers, poets and musicians.

Agog Gallery presents Angeliving Sunday Sundowners, a place for all creatives to share a space while enjoying some of the best talents Jozi has to offer.

According to the curators, this all started with a vision of bringing together a community of like-minded creatives and admirers of art. The Angeliving Sunday Sundowners as a social institution will be held for the first time on 26 November.

“The idea is to have a space where creatives in the city come and share their art with like-minded audiences,” said Tshego Diale from Angelwing Entertainment.

“The event is a place where you will get to network with individuals, enjoy the city views from the rooftop and consume some of the best art on show.”

Housed in the rustic and authentic Agog Gallery (Home of the Curious), the event which is intended for a Sunday afternoon seeks to quickly establish itself as a catalyst for artistic expression and collaboration.

This event hopes to provide an essential showcase of Johannesburg’s finest designers, poets and musicians.

Diale said there would be live music performances from artists such as KayaFm top 40 charter Ms Kelle, UJ FM’s Suicide, Benecia, Nkosana, as well as Luke Bennett, and Gyre who will be performing hits from his Queernomics mixtape he dropped not too long ago.

There will also be designs showcased by ILA M and MN collection and originals by Musa Ntshalintshali.

Johannesburg is booming with raw talent ready for the big leagues and this space, said Diale, was a vital platform for the nurturing and growth of the individuals who turn their passions into prosperity.

“This will be a vibrant monthly meeting place to enjoy community, swap ideas and stories, and collectively contribute to the iconic culture of the City of Gold.”
