Experience musical legend, for a great cause

JOBURG– Expect musical hits like Don't Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, Oh What a Circus and High Flying Adored.

 

If you like theatre, dance and music and doing your bit for society, you will love the upcoming Evita production at Montecasino’s Teatro in aid of HospiceWits, a non-profit organisation that provides holistic care to people with life-threatening illnesses.

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s seven-time Tony Award-winning musical is set for 4 November at 8pm.

Fundraising manager Lyn Wells said the production will take people down memory lane with performances of some of the most legendary songs in musical theatre including.

Indeed, starring Northcliff’s own theatre star, Jonathan Roxmouth, one can be assured that hits like Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, Oh What a Circus, High Flying Adored will have you at the edge of your seat. Robert Finlayson and Emma Kingston will also appear in this legendary musical.

“All funds raised from the sale of more than 900 tickets will provide high-quality care and support for people and families on the journey of life-threatening illness,” Wells said.

Jacqui Kaye, CEO of HospiceWits, agrees.

“We would really like to encourage everyone to support and enable us to continue to make a real difference in the lives of so many of our loved ones, like our moms, dads, daughters, sons, and others suffering from life-limiting or terminal illnesses, by coming out in your numbers to support this worthy initiative,” she said.
