Pippie Langkous is back

JOBURG – Pippie Langkous – The Musical is set to continue until 3 March at various schools in Gauteng.

 

Back by popular demand, Pippie Langkous – The Musical, is set to showcase in Afrikaans at various schools around Gauteng for its fourth season.

Based on the book by Astrid Lindgren, the children’s comic tale is presented as a high-spirited musical adaptation.

The production has been made possible thanks to the final share of a R2 million grant from the National Lotteries Commission.

Directed by Francois Theron, main character, Pippie, embarks on a series of adventures, fulfilling the wildest dreams of any child. Pippie Langkous, Sweden’s best-loved child character, has been part of local popular culture since the 70s and sends one clear message – You can triumph over any obstacle if you believe in yourself.
