Mzansi’s top comedians unite for Mandela Day

MELROSE ARCH – South African comedians are planning a night of memorable laughter for Mandela Day.

As the country prepares to honour and celebrate the life of former President Nelson Mandela, 34 of South Africa’s top comedians will join thousands of people around the country to spend 67 minutes on Mandela Day making a difference in the lives of others.

In an effort to fulfil Madiba’s last wish to build a children’s hospital, Napsta Entertainment will stage the annual 67 Minutes of Laughter comedy show in aid of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust.

The five-day comedy celebration will feature performances from South Africa’s top comedians such as John Vlismas, Sifiso Nene, Richelieu, Nicholas Goliath, Nina Hastie, Alfred Adriaan, Khanyisa Bunu, Robbie Collins, Mashabela, Lazola Gola, Joe Parker, Mum-z, Lihle Lindzy, Gavin Kelly, Deep Fried Man and many more.

This year’s 67 Minutes of Laughter will take place at the brand-new Goliath Comedy Club in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. The show starts at 8pm and will run from 14 July to 18 July.

Tickets are available from Ticketpro and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust.
