Foundation gives thanks to deserving nurses

JOHANNESBURG - The Reach For a Dream Foundation and Ocean Basket spoil nurses.

Ocean Basket assisted Reach For A Dream Foundation by hosting special events around the country to celebrate International Nurses’ Day on 12 May.

The foundation believes that it is very important to acknowledge the healthcare professionals they work closely with on a daily basis. About 350 nurses were hosted by Reach For A Dream Foundation in selected Ocean Basket restaurants across South Africa and were treated to a wonderful three-course meal proudly sponsored by Ocean Basket. The nurses also received a certificate of appreciation and a fabulous goodie bag from the foundation.

“The objective of our International Nurses’ Day campaign is to commemorate this important day by thanking the nurses who assist us in identifying children in need,” said Bronwyn Feldwick-Davis, marketing and communications manager of Reach For A Dream.

“They play a vital role in our dream operations and we value our relationships with all the hospital staff. We really want to acknowledge them for their hard work and dedication because often they go without any appreciation or thanks.

“Ocean Basket is pulling out all the stops to make this day extra special for the nurses. We can’t thank them enough for their passionate support of our campaign.”

Ocean Basket chief executive officer, Grace Harding was delighted to host the nurses and made sure everyone was catered for. “We would like to thank all the nurses for what they do on a daily basis. We are treating 350 nurses across South Africa today to a three-course meal.”
