The event will see a plethora of musical artists including Loyiso Bala, Elvis Blue and the Soweto Gospel Choir, among others, entertaining the crowd.
The event is free but attendees are encouraged to bring toy donations which will be delivered to charity organisations including Child Welfare Tshwane, Heartbeat and Hanna.
Jacaranda FM’s general manager, Kevin Fine said, “With our annual Carols by Candlelight event, we hope to spread some festive cheer not only to our loyal listeners but to those less fortunate too.”
Fine added, “Last year we were able to collect over 25 000 toys for children who wouldn’t have otherwise received a Christmas present. We hope to collect a lot more this year through our listeners’ generosity.
The event starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm.
