The track by local hip-hop artist Blayze and Audio Militia is the theme song for KFC’s new Popping Candy Krusher. The music video was filmed at the exclusive bar Thirteen in Braamfontein when the launch for the track took place on 20 October.
Guests who attended the event were invited to take part in the filming by dancing around the venue as Blayze performed the track. Guests were then asked to place their Popping Candy Krushers on a unique table, which recorded the popping sounds and converted them into MP3 clips. These sound clips were then used to create a spectacular visual effect when buildings in Braamfontein were lit up.
It’s clear that much of the video was filmed in Braamfontein, as Blayze is seen walking up the alleyway towards the Neighbourgoods Market on Juta Street, before singing to a crowd of people surrounded by incredible views of Jozi, which can be seen from the 13th floor of Thirteen.
