Boomtown festival postponed

JOBURG - Although originally scheduled for 17 October at Zoo Lake Sports Club, the inaugural Jack Daniel’s Boomtown Joburg Music and Lifestyle Festival has been postponed to 12 March next year.

The postponement comes after Airey Scott, the company organising the event, was unable to secure a Durban date for the festival in October.

“We are excited to host Jack Daniel’s Boomtown Joburg in Johannesburg on 12 March next year…” said David Airey of Airey Scott.

“We have however been inundated with requests from Durban fans to include Durban in its [rapper] TI tour. As the city where the iconic Boomtown brand has been built over the past seven years, we strongly believe we need to include Durban fans with another TI show on 11 March next year at the Durban Botanical Gardens.”

Ticket holders need not worry about the postponement of the highly-anticipated event as they will be able to exchange their tickets dated for 17 October to tickets for 12 March, or return them for a full refund.

The winner of the Jack Daniel’s Music Scouts 2015 title will also perform at the event on the new date.
