Three Emmy nominees for South African content

JOBURG - It's official, South Africa is one of 19 countries to be nominated in multiple categories for the 2015 International Emmy Awards.

According to News24, the three shows that have been nominated are MasterChef South Africa, StarSat’s Puppet Nation ZA and the local documentary Miners Shot Down.

MasterChef South Africa was nominated in the non-scripted category – that is reality TV, Puppet Nation ZA was nominated in the comedy category, and Miners Shot Down got the nod in the documentary category.

The nominees in each of the ten categories were announced yesterday by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the winners will be announced on 23 November.
