According to About.com used coffee grounds are a fantastic organic compost. You can either add the coffee grounds from your morning coffee to your compost heap or directly to the soil in your garden. Coffee grounds are also abrasive and acidic which makes them a great slug and snail barrier.

Coffee can be used in your compost or spread directly onto the soil.

DailyMakover.com suggests letting your leftover coffee grounds cool before applying them under your eyes. Leave the grounds on for about 15 minutes and then wash off with cool water.

Mix a tablespoon of ground coffee with two tablespoons of plain yoghurt and apply the mixture to your face. Leave the face mask on for 15 minutes and then rinse with cool water. Caffeine stimulates circulation, so this face mask will leave you with a healthy, glowing complexion.

Pack leftover coffee grounds into an old stocking, tie up the end and place at the back of your fridge to absorb strong smells and emit a pleasant coffee aroma. (source: instructables.com)
