WIN: Franschhoek Food & Wine Festival coming soon

MAGALIESSIG - Montecasino is set to host the inaugural Franschhoek Food & Wine Festival from 28 to 30 August.

The festival will showcase top chefs and fine wine producers from the Franschhoek Wine Valley and promises to entice even the most discerning foodies.

According to Franschhoek Wine Valley CEO Jenny Prinsloo, the time felt right to bring a uniquely Franschhoek experience to Gauteng residents.

She added, “Gauteng people aspire to have the best in life and the Franschhoek Food & Wine Festival at Montecasino is the perfect opportunity for our top chefs, as well as our artisan food producers, to showcase their offerings.”

Chefs, wineries and winemakers will be onsite, as well as French cheese importer Lodine Maske from Fromages de France, which will offer French cheese platters, as well as cheese and wine pairing tips.

“For those who have a sweet tooth, Huguenot Fine Chocolates will offer the world’s finest Belgian chocolate to tease visitors’ taste buds with ripe red strawberries, fine macadamia nougat and marshmallows, all dipped in melted milk chocolate,” Prinsloo said.

Combined with music performed by the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra, this is set to become a highly-anticipated annual event.

On 28 August, the festival will open from 6pm to 10pm; while on 29 August, the festival will be open from 12.30pm to 4.30pm and from 6pm to 10pm. Guests attending on 30 August can visit the festival from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
