RnB singer Donell Jones is headed to Sandton

SANDTON – International RnB act Donell Jones is making his way to the Sandton Convention Centre on 31 July for a one night only concert.

Jones is coming to serenade his fans in an Intimate One Night Only concert which is a build-up to Women’s Month in August.

Following pleas from his legion of South African fansfor him him perform in the country, BassBuds South Africa heeded that call.

The company started BussBuds 90s RnB Reloaded events which is a concept to be brought to South Africa every three months and will be recognised as a series of intimate shows that relate to music of the 90s to early 2000 which caters exclusively for mature audience. The Reloaded Series has been put together to promote more than just a concert but an experience to patrons.

Jones is a very well-known in the 90s RnB era and his debut album, My Heart, featured his fantastic cover of Stevie Wonder’s Knocks Me Off My Feet but it was with the release of his second album, the platinum-selling Where I Wanna Be, that people really took notice of his artistry.

The album’s title track reached number two on the Hot RnB/Hip-Hop Chart, and his collaboration with Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes, U Know What’s Up, topped that same chart. His next album, Life Goes On, also went gold, while Journey of a Gemini debuted at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.
