Exciting lineup for upcoming Food and Wine Show

JOBURG - With a variety of entertaining attractions set to excite Johannesburg audiences, the Good Food and Wine Show returns to the city with a bang.

The popular festival, now in its 17th year, begins tomorrow.

Present at a media briefing at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton were Food Network’s renowned chefs Jenny Morris and Reza Mahammad, who both expressed excitement at featuring at the show with their Romancing the Stove segment.

“Basically, myself and Reza will offer an interactive show with lots of entertainment and we’ll focus on demystifying food, so it’s something people can look forward to,” said Morris.

The duo added that it was exciting to work with the new producer, Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa. Heidi Warricker, general manager of Fiera Milano, added to this, saying that the show would feature activities suitable for everyone.

“This year’s show will have over 200 exhibitors, some [of whom are] new to the show, and looks set to be bigger and even better than ever,” she said.

Chefs attending the show include MasterChef Australia winner, Brent Owens; TV personality and author, Tom Parker Bowles; MasterChef South Africa judge Benny Masekwameng; and Siba Mtongana, presenter of Siba’s Table, among others.

The show will take place at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg from tomorrow, 23 July and will run until 26 July.
